Introduction To Color Theory

What are we doing?

We are learning what color is and how color is perceived by humans.

We will then look at the color wheel and dive into some color theory.

Learning Objectives

To learn the language of color theory, so that we may objectively provide critical critique and understanding to our work as artists. Here’s what we will learn from the reading and where we need to focus our attention:

• Primary Colors
• Color Temperature
• Tinting and Shading
• Saturation, Hue, and lightness
• Color Schemes
