Deepening our understanding

Now that we have reviewed the definitions of the 12 Principles of Design, let's dive into some articles and videos about the principles of design. Here, we will see how the principles apply in other similar artforms such as graphic design. After our deeper dive into the subject,  we shall take an easy quiz on the definitions before we move forward to the next topic, where we combine some of our principles into design elements.

Jessica describes one of her principles as movement and her example incorporates a spiral staircase. We will be incorporating movement into our Design Elements. We can further define movement using base principles such as: lines and shapes are composed in rhythmic manor, which draws the focus of our view into the imagery.
